The plan of a solid on a 2 by 3 grid (columns A, B; rows 1, 2, 3) shades squares A1, B1, A2 and B3, leaving B2 and A3 blank. Which of these two options cannot be the front elevation: bars of 1, 1 (columns A, B) or bars of 0, 1 (columns A, B)?

A square sheet measures 8cm by 8cm. It is folded in half horizontally, bottom half folded up onto the top half. A hole is punched 1cm from the crease and 2cm from the left edge, on the folded top half. Where do the two holes appear, measured from the left edge and the bottom edge?
