The angles in a triangle are 3x°, x° and (x + 120)°. Form an equation and work out x.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 7, y = 14. Work out y when x = 11.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 127°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 8 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 16. Work out the range.
