The angles in a triangle are 3x°, 2x° and (x + 60)°. Form an equation and work out x.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 3, y = 12. Work out y when x = 13.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 46°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 4 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 47. Work out the range.
