A town's population is 8500 and grows by 8% each year. Work out the population after 3 years, to the nearest whole number.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of alternate angles is 63°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 8 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 6, lower quartile 16, median 18, upper quartile 28 and maximum 33. Work out the interquartile range.
