A line has equation y = 6x - 36. Write down where it crosses the x-axis and where it crosses the y-axis.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 8, y = 56. Work out y when x = 2.
- 3Pythagoras2 marks
A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 26 cm and one shorter side of 24 cm. Work out the other shorter side.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 5 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 3, 9, 8, 5. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
