- 1Inequalities on Graphs3 marks
Does the point (1, -1) satisfy y > -3x - 4?
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 3, y = 24. Work out y when x = 14.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 40°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 4 red and 5 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Averages from Frequency Tables2 marks
Grouped data has five classes of width 5, the first being 20 < x <= 25. The frequencies in order are 16, 7, 11, 3, 21. Write down the modal class.
