In a Venn diagram, 17 are in A only, 7 in B only, 10 in both and 7 in neither. Work out the probability a random one is in A or B.
- 3Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 8, 12, 11, 4. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 4Reverse Percentages3 marks
After a decrease of 20%, a price is £480. Work out the price before the change.
- 5Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
Work out the equation of the line parallel to y = -2x - 1 that passes through (1, 0).
