Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The smaller has an area of 20 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.

A biased coin lands on heads with probability 0.4. It is thrown 500 times. How many heads would you expect?

A box plot has minimum 12, lower quartile 17, median 20, upper quartile 28 and maximum 35. Work out the interquartile range.
