Does the point (-2, -4) satisfy y > 2x + 4?

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 5, y = 45. Work out y when x = 14.

A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 26 cm and one shorter side of 24 cm. Work out the other shorter side.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 6 red and 4 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Averages from Frequency Tables2 marks
Grouped data has five classes of width 5, the first being 0 < x <= 5. The frequencies in order are 21, 7, 11, 16, 3. Write down the modal class.
