Make x the subject of y = 9x^2 - 8.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 6, y = 30. Work out y when x = 4.
- 3Area and Perimeter2 marks
A triangle has a base of 30 cm and a perpendicular height of 7 cm. Work out its area.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 3 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Averages from Frequency Tables3 marks
In a survey 6 households own 1 car, 2 own 2 cars and 2 own 3 cars. Work out the mean number of cars, to 2 decimal places.
