The angles in a triangle are 3x°, 3x° and (x + 110)°. Form an equation and work out x.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 7, y = 14. Work out y when x = 9.
- 3Pythagoras2 marks
A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 13 cm and one shorter side of 12 cm. Work out the other shorter side.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 2 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 23. Work out the range.
