- 1Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = 20/x, work out y when x = 10, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 8, y = 32. Work out y when x = 13.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 46°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 2 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 7, lower quartile 11, median 20, upper quartile 28 and maximum 32. Work out the interquartile range.
