Make x the subject of y = 3x^2 - 7.

A biased coin lands on heads with probability 0.2. It is thrown 250 times. How many heads would you expect?

In a survey 4 households own 1 car, 3 own 2 cars and 2 own 3 cars. Work out the mean number of cars, to 2 decimal places.
