Factorise x^2 + 6x + 8.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 4, y = 8. Work out y when x = 6.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of alternate angles is 139°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 3 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
