For the curve y = -6/x, work out y when x = -1, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.

7 identical cupcakes cost £17.50. Work out the cost of 5 of the same cupcakes.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of alternate angles is 52°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 7 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 15, lower quartile 25, median 27, upper quartile 29 and maximum 38. Work out the interquartile range.
