Make x the subject of y = 6x^2 - 3.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 6, y = 30. Work out y when x = 15.

Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of alternate angles is 144°. Work out the other, and give a reason.

A bag holds 6 red and 5 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Averages from Frequency Tables3 marks
In a survey 8 households own 1 car, 2 own 2 cars and 6 own 3 cars. Work out the mean number of cars, to 2 decimal places.
