A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 17 cm and one shorter side of 8 cm. Work out the other shorter side.

A bag holds 6 red and 4 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Averages from Frequency Tables3 marks
In a survey 8 households own 1 car, 3 own 2 cars and 5 own 3 cars. Work out the mean number of cars, to 2 decimal places.
