y is directly proportional to x. When x = 3, y = 12. Work out y when x = 15.
- 3Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The smaller has an area of 25 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 4Probability (Higher)3 marks
A biased coin lands on heads with probability 0.4. It is thrown 200 times. How many heads would you expect?
- 5Two Way Tables3 marks
Of 51 students, 27 study French, 26 study German and 5 study both. How many study neither?
