- 1Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = -14/x, work out y when x = -2, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 7, y = 49. Work out y when x = 6.
- 3Transformations2 marks
The point (-2, 1) is rotated 90° clockwise about the origin. Write down the coordinates of the image.
- 4Probability (Higher)3 marks
A biased coin lands on heads with probability 0.25. It is thrown 250 times. How many heads would you expect?
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 8, lower quartile 18, median 24, upper quartile 28 and maximum 35. Work out the interquartile range.
