A line has equation y = 5x - 5. Write down where it crosses the x-axis and where it crosses the y-axis.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 8, y = 96. Work out y when x = 2.

A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 13 cm and an angle of 45°. Work out the side adjacent to that angle, to 1 decimal place.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 7 red and 2 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 4, 3, 4, 10. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
