y is directly proportional to x. When x = 9, y = 27. Work out y when x = 8.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 147°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 4 red and 4 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Two Way Tables3 marks
Of 60 students, 24 study French, 32 study German and 8 study both. How many study neither?
