For the curve y = 4/x, work out y when x = 4, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.

y is directly proportional to x. When x = 7, y = 77. Work out y when x = 5.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of corresponding angles is 116°. Work out the other, and give a reason.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 3 blue counters. One is taken, replaced, then another is taken. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 12, lower quartile 15, median 18, upper quartile 26 and maximum 35. Work out the interquartile range.
