A rectangle is x cm wide and 2 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.
- 2Writing and Simplifying Ratio1 mark
Write the ratio 40 : 56 in its simplest form.
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of co-interior (allied) angles is 66°. Work out the other.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 9 red, 5 blue and 5 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is green.
- 5Two Way Tables3 marks
In a group of 90 students, 70 are boys. 15 boys and 10 girls bring a packed lunch. How many students do not?
