A rectangle is x cm wide and 5 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.
- 2Writing and Simplifying Ratio1 mark
Write the ratio 18 : 30 in its simplest form.
- 3Angles2 marks
Four angles meet at a point. Three of them are 50°, 127° and 137°. Work out the fourth.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 6 red, 3 blue and 5 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is blue.
- 5Bar Charts2 marks
On a bar chart each gridline square stands for 2 people. A bar is 7 squares tall. How many people does it show?
