A rectangle is x cm wide and 9 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.

A map has a scale of 1 : 50000. Two villages are 7.5 cm apart on the map. How far apart are they in real life, in km?
- 3Area and Perimeter3 marks
A trapezium has parallel sides of 4 cm and 13 cm, 4 cm apart. Work out its area.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 7 red, 9 blue and 8 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is blue.
- 5Stem and Leaf2 marks
A stem and leaf diagram has a single stem 2 with the leaves 1, 5, 6, 8, 9. Work out the median of the five values.
