A rectangle is x cm wide and 8 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.

A map has a scale of 1 : 10000. Two villages are 9.5 cm apart on the map. How far apart are they in real life, in km?
- 3Angles in Parallel Lines2 marks
Two parallel lines are crossed by a straight line. One of a pair of co-interior (allied) angles is 116°. Work out the other.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 4 red, 4 blue and 8 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is red.
- 5Two Way Tables3 marks
In a group of 100 students, 40 are boys. 5 boys and 10 girls bring a packed lunch. How many students do not?
