A rectangle is x cm wide and 8 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.

A map has a scale of 1 : 25000. Two villages are 9.5 cm apart on the map. How far apart are they in real life, in km?
- 3Angles2 marks
Four angles meet at a point. Three of them are 111°, 65° and 58°. Work out the fourth.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 3 red, 6 blue and 5 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is green.
- 5Bar Charts2 marks
On a bar chart each gridline square stands for 4 people. A bar is 6 squares tall. How many people does it show?
