A rectangle is x cm wide and 8 cm longer than it is wide. Write a simplified expression for its perimeter.

Write the ratio 35 : 42 in its simplest form.
- 3Area and Perimeter3 marks
A trapezium has parallel sides of 6 cm and 16 cm, 16 cm apart. Work out its area.
- 4Probability (Foundation)2 marks
A bag holds 6 red, 6 blue and 9 green counters. One is taken at random. Work out the probability it is red.
- 5Stem and Leaf2 marks
A stem and leaf diagram has a single stem 2 with the leaves 3, 4, 5, 7, 8. Work out the median of the five values.
