- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 3, y = 135. Work out y when x = 5.
- 2Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 15 cm and 13 cm and an area of 48.75 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 11 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 36/55. Work out r.
- 4Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 0 < x <= 5 has a frequency density of 3.5. How many values are in that class?
- 5Bounds3 marks
x = 164 and y = 77, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
