- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 2, y = 24. Work out y when x = 5.
- 2Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 15 cm and 6 cm and an area of 38.97 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 5/33. Work out r.
- 4Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 10 < x <= 30 has a frequency density of 3.5. How many values are in that class?
- 5Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 680 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 25 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
