- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 15-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 430 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 22 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Completing the Square3 marks
Work out the coordinates of the turning point of y = x^2 + 8x - 8.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 9 m/s to 28 m/s over 12 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the three angles of triangle OAB are being summed. State the reason being quoted.
