- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 750 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 15 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Trigonometric and Exponential Graphs2 marks
The curve y = sin x° is drawn for 0 <= x <= 360. Write down the value of y when x = 0.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 25, y = 15. Work out y when x = 81.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides of 17 cm and 9 cm with an angle of 42° between them. Work out the third side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 4 red, 7 blue and 4 green counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given neither is green, what is the probability both are red?
