- 1Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 4 red, 4 blue and 4 green counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given neither is green, what is the probability both are red?
- 2Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 0 < x <= 5 has a frequency density of 1.5. How many values are in that class?
- 3Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 780 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 16 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 4Rearranging Harder Formulae3 marks
Make x the subject of 7x + 6 = y(x + 6).
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 320. Work out y when x = 5.
