- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 16, y = 24. Work out y when x = 36.
- 2Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 6 cm and 9 cm and an area of 13.50 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 7 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 10/21. Work out r.
- 4Histograms3 marks
A histogram has four 20-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 1, 2, 3, 0.5. Which class contains the median?
- 5Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 880 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 25 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
