- 1Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 8 red and 4 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given the first was red, what is the probability the second is blue?
- 2Histograms3 marks
A histogram has four 10-wide classes from 0, with frequency densities 3, 1, 2, 0.5. Which class contains the median?
- 3Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 400 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 14 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 4Rearranging Harder Formulae3 marks
Make x the subject of 6x + 6 = y(x + 6).
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
