- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 16-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 17 cm by 11 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 3Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (2, 5) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) + 1.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 19 m/s for 10 s, then slows steadily to rest over 10 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (12, 16) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 400. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
