- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two angles at the circumference stand on the same arc. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 7 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 2/7. Work out r.
- 3Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 5 units wide with frequency density 1.5, one 5 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 4Bounds3 marks
x = 134 and y = 58, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 5Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 6x - 2 and g(x) = 3x + 4. Work out fg(-1).
