- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 8-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 157 and y = 55, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (6x(n) + 2) with x(0) = 1. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 4 m/s to 14 m/s over 4 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
