- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 2, one 20 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A car covers 320 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 3 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Rearranging Harder Formulae3 marks
Make x the subject of 6x + 3 = y(x + 3).
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 0 m/s to 12 m/s over 4 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (6, 8) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 100. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
