A quadratic sequence starts -4, -1, 6, 17. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 9, y = 6. Work out y when x = 16.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 13 cm and 8 cm and an area of 45.03 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 10 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 28/45. Work out r.
