Solve x^2 + y^2 = 100 and y = x + 2 simultaneously.

y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 24. Work out the positive value of x when y = 216.
- 53d Pythagoras and Trigonometry3 marks
A cuboid measures 15 cm by 4 cm by 7 cm. Work out the length of the longest diagonal inside it, to 1 decimal place.
