x = 86 and y = 15, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (3, -4) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x - 2).
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 7 m/s to 37 m/s over 20 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (9, 12) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 225. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
