- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 16-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
x = 54 and y = 18, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 15, 23, 33, 45. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 14 m/s for 20 s, then slows steadily to rest over 10 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the three angles of triangle OAB are being summed. State the reason being quoted.
