- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 15-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 870 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 12 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Completing the Square3 marks
Work out the coordinates of the turning point of y = x^2 - 16x - 11.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 12 m/s for 20 s, then slows steadily to rest over 10 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that OA and OB are both radii of the circle, so triangle OAB is isosceles. State the reason being quoted.
