- 1Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 384. Work out y when x = 5.
- 2Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 7 cm and 13 cm and an area of 22.75 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 3Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 9 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 7/12. Work out r.
- 4Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 10 < x <= 20 has a frequency density of 3.5. How many values are in that class?
- 5Bounds3 marks
A car covers 490 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 2 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
