A block has mass 860 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 20 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Quadratic Simultaneous Equations3 marks
Solve x^2 + y^2 = 676 and y = x - 14 simultaneously.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 16. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 11 cm, 11 cm and 13 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 11 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
