- 1Bounds3 marks
A car covers 510 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 5 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Trigonometric and Exponential Graphs2 marks
The curve y = sin x° is drawn for 0 <= x <= 360. Write down the value of y when x = 180.
- 3Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
A train slows steadily from 21 m/s to rest in 4 seconds. Work out its deceleration.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 16 cm and an area of 50.91 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/11. Work out r.
