- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 8-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Surds3 marks
Rationalise the denominator of 42/sqrt(6), giving your answer in its simplest form.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts -3, 8, 29, 60. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 2 m/s to 10 m/s over 12 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the exterior angle of a cyclic quadrilateral is being found. State the reason being quoted.
