Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (10x(n) + 9) with x(0) = 1. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.

A train slows steadily from 16 m/s to rest in 8 seconds. Work out its deceleration.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 7 cm and an area of 31.50 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 9 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 5/12. Work out r.
