- 1Bounds3 marks
x = 32 and y = 8, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 2Proof2 marks
In an algebraic proof, how would you write a multiple of 8 in terms of an integer n?
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 36. Work out y when x = 6.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 6 cm and 16 cm and an area of 24.00 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 8 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/28. Work out r.
